Blair Moses

Candidate for Arizona State Senate – District 10

Arizona · Legislative District 10

Statement

My name is Blair Moses. I am a Democrat running for the Arizona State Senate in Legislative District 10. I am running because East Mesa deserves a Senator who will fight for the people in this district and their Constitutional rights. As a mom and former attorney with a prior 30-year career in healthcare, I am eager to work to ensure Arizonans have access to affordable healthcare; fairly priced utilities, food, and housing; and fully-funded, quality public schools. I'm running as a Clean Elections candidate and will not accept any corporate, PAC, or special interest money. My Priorities • Protect Constitutional Rights Safeguard voting rights, free speech, peaceful assembly, and due process for all Arizonans. Protect vulnerable communities. • Expand Access to Healthcare Ensure every resident receives the healthcare they need. • Increase Affordability Address the rising costs of food, housing, electricity, and water. Establish reasonable controls on the energy and water use of large data centers and their impact on Arizonans' utilities. • Fully Fund Public Schools Support the 80–90% of Arizona students in public schools. Establish oversight, caps, and accountability for the voucher program that has drained more than $1 billion from the state budget.

Biography

Although now retired, I worked as a private attorney, followed by a Staff Attorney at the State Bar of Arizona. Before becoming an attorney, I worked in healthcare for thirty years. I received my B.S. in Medical Technology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and my J.D. at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law (ASU). Also, I serve on the MAB Board for One Community and am a member of Healthcare Rising AZ and the Arizona Leadership Network. I am happily married with three daughters and four grandchildren. I've been living in Arizona for 39 years.
