Candidate Filing Deadline
Last day for candidates to file nominating petitions with the Arizona Secretary of State for the July 21 primary.
5:00 PM deadline
Military and Overseas Ballots Mailed
Ballots mailed to uniformed military members and overseas citizens (UOCAVA voters) ahead of the primary election.
Voter Registration Deadline
Last day to register to vote or update your registration in time to participate in the July 21 primary election.
Early Voting Begins · Mail Ballots Sent
Ballots mailed to all Active Early Voter List (AEVL) members. In-person early voting also begins at county recorder offices.
Replacement Ballot Request Deadline
Last day to request a replacement mail ballot if yours was lost or damaged.
Mail Ballot Return Deadline
Last day to mail back your completed primary ballot. Ballots must be postmarked by this date to be counted.
Must be postmarked by 7:00 PM
PRIMARY ELECTION DAY
Polling locations open statewide. Voters may also return mail ballots in person at any polling location.
Polls close at 7:00 PM
Canvass Begins
Counties begin the official canvass of primary election returns.

All Arizona counties must complete and certify their canvass of primary returns by this date.
