Claudia Kline
Candidate for Arizona State House – District 8
Arizona · Legislative District 8
Statement
I'm running because after witnessing the complexities of politics my whole life, I can no longer stay on the sidelines. I've seen friends and family grow disengaged when candidates care more about lining their own pockets than serving people. My younger sisters deserve a quality education, my aunts shouldn't have to choose between childcare and rent, and my brother shouldn't suffer because health-care costs are too high. We all deserve better. Through my work over the last 9 years, I've learned that many candidates campaign on affordability, yet when real need arises they abandon their communities. Winning seats isn't enough; true leadership means showing up for constituents when they need help most. How can a candidate promise affordable housing while profiting from Airbnbs, or accept donations from companies that drive up rents and utility bills? I am committed to people-first policies: expanding affordable health care, securing child-care support, and building economic security for every Arizonan. I will refuse money from landlords, short-term-rental platforms, and utility corporations that undermine those goals. Together we can rebuild trust, ensure representation that truly listens, and create a future where no family has to sacrifice basic needs for a healthy life.
