Statement
I'm Heather Rooks, a lifelong resident of Peoria, a devoted wife, and proud mother of four. As a graduate of Sunrise Mountain High School and a product of the Peoria Unified School District, I understand the importance of strong schools, safe neighborhoods, and communities. Over the past several years, I have served on the Peoria Unified School District Governing Board, advocating for parental rights, academic excellence, fiscal responsibility, and transparent leadership. My work has always been about serving families and ensuring their voices are heard. Now, I am running as a conservative for the Arizona State House in Legislative District 28 to continue serving our community at the state level. My priorities include supporting safe neighborhoods, protecting school choice, backing law enforcement, securing our borders, and promoting responsible government spending. I am also committed to supporting families with children who have disabilities, ensuring they have access to the resources they need to thrive. I stand for protecting conservative freedoms in Arizona, defending our Constitution, and preserving the individual liberties that make our state strong and prosperous. I am committed to representing the voices of our neighbors and strengthening our families, schools, and communities for generations to come.
Biography
Heather Rooks is a devoted wife, mother of four, and lifelong resident of Peoria, Arizona. A graduate of Sunrise Mountain High School and a product of the Peoria Unified School District, she values strong schools, safe communities, and families. Heather began attending school board meetings in 2020 to better understand decisions impacting students and became a voice for transparency, parental rights, and student success. Known as "The Peoria Mom," she is serving her fourth year on the Peoria Unified School District Governing Board, where she champions parental rights, pro-American curriculum, fiscal responsibility, academic excellence, and family-focused decision-making. Heather Rooks is seeking re-election to the Peoria School Board in November 2026.
