Statement

My name is Myron Tsosie, 46 years of age, Dine, of the Coyote Pass Clan born for the Towering House People my maternal grandparents are the Towering House and my paternal grandparents are the Water Flows Together People from Chinle, Arizona (the Heart of the Navajo Nation). Since 2014 I have served on the Chinle Unified School District School Board working with local, state and national leaders both in the House and Senate. I have spent countless hours working and serving members of the community; I find satisfaction in energetically confronting tough challenges and working collegially to overcome them. Since 2018 the residents of Legislative District 6 is my ultimate focus, I have worked with my colleagues to create a shared vision for work and learning; built strategic partnerships; sustained the community progress through continuous involvement; adopted and maintained current policies, maintained strong ethical standards; and objectively sought answers to questions and challenges as they arose. I currently serve on the House Military Affairs and Public Safety Committee and as the Democratic Ranking Member on the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee.
