Steven Chapman
Candidate for Arizona State House – District 22
Arizona · Legislative District 22
Statement
It's time for Arizona to fulfill its promise to address the needs of working families, to reform a system that lacks action, and to fully fund public schools. As an elected school board member for over a decade, I have watched our legislature attack public education and teachers. In my years representing our community, I have built a track record of creating and passing policies that have led to livable wages for school staff, I have led the charge for academic investments that have yielded three A-rated schools and four schools on the verge of an A letter grade, and I have supported innovative school funding initiatives to create exceptional opportunities for students in our community. I believe in the potential the West Valley has to offer; I have dedicated my tenure on the school board to advocating for it. But we must also have elected leaders at the state level who understand the needs and opportunities throughout our LD22 community. With your continued support, we can do more than just brace for the effects of a broken system; we can work to fix it for our students, for our families, and for our community.
