Biography
Yassamin Ansari (born April 7, 1992) is the incumbent U.S. Representative for Arizona's 3rd Congressional District, serving since 2025. Born in Seattle to immigrant parents, she earned a bachelor's degree from Stanford University in 2014 and a master's from the University of Cambridge in 2015. Previously the Vice Mayor of Phoenix and the youngest woman ever elected to the Phoenix City Council, she was elected freshman class president of the Democratic caucus in November 2024. She is a climate policy advocate and the first Iranian-American woman in Congress.
