Anthony Ramirez

Candidate for Arizona State Senate – District 12

Arizona · Legislative District 12

Statement

I'm running because Arizona's political system no longer reflects the people it serves. The largest group of voters is unaffiliated, yet they are shut out of primaries where elections are decided. That is not democracy. It is a closed system protecting parties, not voters. My campaign is focused on restoring access, fairness, and accountability. I will push to expand ballot access and open the process so every voter has a meaningful voice. When the majority is excluded, the system fails. I will not caucus with either party. My decisions will not be controlled by party leadership or political pressure. Government should operate under the same standards as everyone else. No special rules, no insider advantages, and no decisions made behind closed doors. Arizonans deserve transparency and accountability, not political games. Water is critical to Arizona's future. Growth without a long-term plan is reckless. We must protect groundwater, require responsible development, and invest in conservation, reuse, and infrastructure. This is about securing Arizona's future, not limiting opportunity. I support strong, accountable public safety, protection of individual rights, and policies that allow people and businesses to succeed without unnecessary barriers. Arizona does not need more partisan conflict. It needs practical leadership focused on results.
