Statement
As a mom of three Scottsdale Unified school district graduates, I've fought for educational excellence and common-sense solutions to the challenges facing our state for nearly a decade. When I first ran for State Senate, I committed to stand up for our children, support small business owners, help our veterans, and improve our schools - and since I was elected, I've fulfilled my promise and even streamlined government agencies and improved transparency. As the first freshman legislator to be named Health Committee Chair, I've worked with stakeholders to shed light on Medicaid fraud, improve care for foster kids, and protect vulnerable Arizonans. We need consistency in government; leaders who will tackle critical issues without compromising our values. We can balance compassion with accountability to ensure our tax dollars are spent wisely. I will always protect the community we love, make our neighborhoods safer, and create great opportunities for the next generation. I'm grateful for your continued support and encouragement. Carine Werner is an immigrant, mom of three, small business owner, and Scottsdale School Board Member committed to safeguarding the Arizona dream. Carine is a proven problem-solver, focused on reducing crime, improving our schools, fostering economic prosperity, and creating a better quality of life for all Arizonans. Inspired by her kids and community, Carine is fighting to stop healthcare fraud, improve the Department of Child Safety, and strengthen penalties for drug dealers. Thanks to Carine, our schools are safer, and our community is stronger. Her family proudly calls Scottsdale home.
