Candidate for Arizona State Senate – District 1

Arizona · Legislative District 1

Statement

Legislative District 1 deserves a senator who actually works for the people who live here and right now, we don't have one. Our current senator parachuted into this district after losing a statewide race and has spent his time denying elections, banning abortion with no exceptions for rape or incest, chasing national headlines while LD1's real problems go unaddressed. He does not work for you - I will! Our wells are failing as aquifers are drawn down by unregulated corporate pumping. Our schools are among the most underfunded in the nation. Families are driving two hours for basic medical care. These are not unsolvable problems. I will fight for groundwater protections that put LD1 families before corporate extraction interests. I will fight to fully fund our public schools and pay teachers what they deserve. I will fight to expand rural healthcare access so that a medical emergency doesn't also become a financial one or a tragedy because help is hours away. I will fight for zoning reforms that remove unnecessary barriers to workforce and affordable housing development, state investment in rural housing infrastructure, and tenant protections that keep working families stably housed. Solutions over stunts. Community over career. No special interests.
