Christine Marie Scianna
Candidate for Arizona State House – District 29
Arizona · Legislative District 29
Statement
Christine Marie Scianna, was born and raised Christine Webster in Phoenix, Arizona. She attended ASU for a BA in psychology and later earned a BA in Education and an MS Ed. For years, Christine experienced the struggles of a single parent raising a child with non-verbal autism and dealing with state agencies for her care, while also juggling a professional career as a junior high science teacher. She spoke to both branches of the Legislature regarding the care of vulnerable people and saw bills passed meant to protect them, especially those in residential facilities in 2022. In 2025, Christine attended legislative committee sessions where members of the Republican leadership pulled last-minute political stunts to defeat a bipartisan bill that was meant to fund care for the disabled community. After witnessing how poorly the disabled community was treated, Christine resolved to run for office. We need representatives who care about their constituents. She has seen the Republican-led Legislature neglect funding education appropriately, while opening school vouchers to everyone, so that voters' dollars are going into private schools instead of neighborhood public schools. Christine will fight for ALL individuals, families, education, affordable healthcare, veteran care, safe workplaces, and social and environmental justice.
