Consuelo Hernandez
Candidate for Arizona State House – District 21
Arizona · Legislative District 21
Statement
Consuelo has been on a mission to make things better for her community since before she could vote. She is proud to finish her fourth year as your state representative. She proudly represents Pima, Santa Cruz, and Bisbee. She has served 8 years as a governing board member in the Sunnyside School District. The lack of economic mobility and access to quality health care, education, and affordable housing led her to run. She has been recognized as one of the most effective Democrats for passing laws to protect bus drivers, improve access to mental health care, and bring millions to social services in every corner of her district. She is running for re-election to continue fighting for worker protections, affordable housing, healthcare and better jobs. She has been recognized as the women's healthcare champion, legislator of the year by the Arizona Public Health Association, as well as by Community Health Centers and Stand for Children. She is a proud Alumni of Sunnyside School District, earned a bachelors at ASU in Global Health, Masters in Legal Studies from UofA, and is a current Law student at ASU.
