Statement

David Redkey has proudly called Phoenix home for nearly four decades. He moved to Arizona due to his roots: his grandfather was Harry Edgington Redkey, a local legend who helped promote Manzanita Raceway and Phoenix International Raceway. Mr. Redkey is a certified teacher, a husband, and a father, deeply rooted in his community and committed to its future. As a fierce advocate against conservatorship and guardianship fraud that syphons wealth from Arizona families, he has fought to expose legal systems that exploit vulnerable individuals. His experience has driven him to champion accountability, transparency, and justice for all Arizonans. Mr. Redkey’s economic platform is grounded in what he calls "Foundational Economics," a common-sense vision that strengthens the everyday worker, not the billionaire class. He believes the true stability of our Arizona lies with the families, educators, laborers, and small business owners who uphold our democracy. As he says: “It doesn’t matter if the house has the best roof in the world...If the foundation is crumbling, the house will fall.” David Redkey is running to rebuild that foundation. He’s not bought by PACs or corporations, just powered by the people of Arizona who are ready to fight for a better, fairer future.

David Redkey is the Green Party nominee for Arizona's 3rd Congressional District. He has lived in the Phoenix area for nearly four decades and describes himself as a certified teacher. According to Ballotpedia, he earned an associate degree from Glendale Community College, bachelor's and master's degrees from Arizona State University and a graduate certificate from Northern Arizona University. The Arizona Green Party has said it actively opposes his candidacy, citing what it called a pattern of abusive behavior. In September 2026, he was arrested and charged with threatening or intimidating and computer tampering. Prosecutors allege he emailed threats to a Superior Court judge and an attorney, according to Fox 10 Phoenix and Arizona's Family; no response from Redkey was reported. He won the July 21, 2026 Green primary as a write-in and faces Democratic incumbent Yassamin Ansari, No Labels Party nominee Alan Aversa and Republican write-in Jacob Parkman in the November 3, 2026 general election.
