Education changed my life and now my children will never know poverty the way I did. As a business owner, I know exactly what it takes to create jobs and how the government can make it easier (or harder) to pay people more. Biography
David Richardson is an engineer and business founder who grew up in a rented guest house in Phoenix, in a family that relied on food assistance. He says his mother taught him to read and moved him to a school that fit his needs. He received a full scholarship to Arizona State University and graduated debt-free in mechanical engineering as the first in his family to finish college. In 2016 he launched a company building tools for personalized cancer treatment, which later shifted to pandemic testing. He has lived in Chandler since 2012, is married with three children, and mentors Arizona entrepreneurs. His priorities include school options for parents, a competitive tax and regulatory climate, long-term water planning, and balanced budgets. He ran unopposed in the July 21, 2026 Republican primary and faces Democrats Stacey Travers and Armando Montero for two seats in the November 3, 2026 general election.
