Biography
Duwayne Collier grew up in a small farming town in California and has worked in construction, labor, sales, and service. He and his wife settled in Arizona, where they are raising two children. The Arizona Green Party disavowed his candidacy, accusing him of being a Republican running to draw votes from Secretary of State Adrian Fontes; his campaign received services from firms and attorneys with Republican connections and paid his wife at least $20,000 to serve as campaign manager. The Arizona Attorney General's Office has opened a criminal investigation, and the Citizens Clean Elections Commission a civil one, into allegations that voters' names were used without their consent on $5 qualifying contributions that helped him receive public campaign funding; the Arizona Mirror reported he could be ordered to repay up to $739,000. His attorney has denied wrongdoing and said the investigation forced the campaign to suspend. Collier won the July 21, 2026 Green Party primary with 66% of the vote and faces Fontes and Republican Alexander Kolodin in the November 3, 2026 general election.
