Emilia Cortez
Candidate for Arizona State House – District 23
Arizona · Legislative District 23
Statement
I am running for the Arizona House of Representatives to bring a strong, local voice to Legislative District 23. Our community deserves leadership that understands our challenges and works toward real, practical solutions. As an Economic Development Specialist, I have worked directly with communities to improve infrastructure, support small businesses, and create opportunities for growth. I have seen how state decisions impact families, workers, and local economies, and I believe those decisions should be guided by the people who live here. My priorities include strengthening our local economy, investing in infrastructure, supporting education, and ensuring responsible use of taxpayer dollars. I am committed to working across communities to find solutions that benefit everyone, not just a few. I believe in transparency, accountability, and showing up for the people I serve. This campaign is about making sure our district has a seat at the table and a voice that will advocate for our future. Together, we can build stronger communities and create opportunities that allow families in District 23 to thrive.
