Eric Stafford

Candidate for Arizona State Senate – District 29

Arizona · Legislative District 29

Statement

I decided to quit my day job, and run full speed at this campaign because I know that our state and community needs drastic change, and I am asking for your vote to help us turn this ship around. Running for office is so important to me because I wanted to see more elected officials who are young, have fresh ideas, and are fed up with elected officials being paid to do a bad job. I hate that our local politicians take money from private interests, because it makes me feel like I cannot trust them, and that is why our CLEAN ELECTIONS candidates take ZERO corporate or PAC dollars. I am a Patriotic person; and to me, that means doing whatever it takes to better the lives of the people of Arizona. I do not want our state to continue surviving off of federal welfare, and continuing to fail in funding our children's schools and futures. Our officials continue to cut taxes for megacorps that destroy local businesses and livelihoods, and would rather relocate the homeless, rather than address the issue of housing affordability. Our bills keep rising, and so does the temperatures. To our weak politicians: Enough is enough.

Biography

Eric Stafford is a 28 year-old West-Valley Native who has dedicated the last 6 years to political organizing, and running for the State Legislature. In High School, Eric participated in West-Mecis Aviation Maintenance Program and graduated with his Airframe & Powerplant Certification at 19. He later studied Manual & (SNC) Machining as well as Veterinary Technology. In the last decade of working, Eric has experienced many frustrations with the shrinking middle class, corporate money being funneled into our politics, and a great divide growing between the interests of those who "lead" and the will of the people. Something has to change.
