Biography

Gage Thunder, who campaigns as Gage Dylan Thunder, is a certified write-in candidate whose name will not be printed on the November 3, 2026 ballot for Arizona's 1st Congressional District. Ballotpedia lists him with no party preference, and his campaign website describes him as an independent who has never belonged to a political party. The site says he takes no money from donors, parties or political action committees and is funding the campaign through blood plasma donations. It also says he enlisted in the Army National Guard as a 91B combat medic and has worked as a phlebotomist and pharmacy technician. His platform centers on a proposed "Constituent App" that would post every bill before a vote and treat the majority position of registered constituents as his default vote, along with expanding rural health care through telehealth and mobile clinics and limiting foreign ownership of U.S. infrastructure and natural resources. The candidates printed on the ballot are Democrat Amish Shah, Republican Jay Feely and Libertarian Monica Alponte; Dev Gupta is also a certified write-in.
