Biography
Gary Garcia Snyder is a Mexican American Republican raised in a conservative Christian military family and a small business owner with professional experience in economics, sports management, and water and agricultural conservation. He has served as a bilingual precinct committeeman, state committeeman, state delegate, national delegate and member-at-large of the Arizona Republican Party. He has volunteered with food pantries, school drives and outreach efforts, and says he supports law enforcement, first responders, military families and Second Amendment rights, with a focus on affordability. Snyder and Rep. Michele Pena were the only candidates in the July 21, 2026 Republican primary for two LD23 House seats; Snyder received 46.9% of the vote. They face Democrats Mariana Sandoval and Emilia Cortez in the November 3, 2026 general election.
