Biography
Hector Gomez is the Green Party candidate for the Arizona House in Legislative District 26 and is running as a Clean Elections candidate. In line with Green Party practice, he says he does not accept corporate donations, PAC money, 527 organization funds or soft money. His platform includes fair wages and housing, affordable health care including single-payer universal health care, debt-free public higher education, stronger renter protections and food security, unions and workers' rights, asking the wealthiest to pay more while closing corporate tax loopholes, local renewable energy and electric transportation, and humane immigration policy including abolishing ICE. Gomez ran unopposed in the July 21, 2026 Green Party primary, receiving 10 votes. He faces Democratic Reps. Cesar Aguilar and Quantá Crews and Republicans Frank Roberts and Jonathan McKenna in the November 3, 2026 general election.
