For the past 15 years, I've watched the State Legislature fail to address the everyday issues that matter most to the people who call Arizona home. That's why I'm running to be your state representative. You deserve: - Affordable housing - Affordable and accessible healthcare - Affordable and reliable water and electricity In short–an Arizona we can all afford. I am also committed to ending fraud in the school voucher system so taxpayer dollars are spent on education, not luxury vacations, diamonds, or other abuses. Our public schools deserve our support so they can prepare the next generation to be informed citizens and help attract businesses that rely on a well-educated workforce. It's time for leadership that focuses on real solutions for everyday Arizonans.
Biography
Hollace "Holly" Lyon is a retired U.S. Air Force colonel who served 26 years, commanded twice, taught military war planners and worked at both NATO headquarters and the Pentagon, where she led international communications negotiations. She taught middle school before her military service and afterward worked as a corporate IT consultant in the Washington, D.C. area. She moved to Southern Arizona in 2008 to care for her mother. In Arizona she has served as a judicial nominating commissioner and chaired campaigns for school district budget overrides and a bond. Her campaign priorities include lowering housing, utility and healthcare costs, combating corruption, water security and making data centers pay their own way, accountability for ESA vouchers, and lowering prescription drug prices. Lyon finished first in the July 21, 2026 Democratic primary and faces Democrat Kevin Volk and Republicans Rachel Keshel and John Winchester in the November 3, 2026 general election.
