Biography
Janet Weninger is a first-time candidate, small business owner, and nonprofit leader in Chandler. She is the wife of outgoing state Rep. Jeff Weninger and co-owns their restaurants, Dilly's Deli in Tempe and Floridino's Pizza & Pasta in Chandler. She is CEO of the nonprofit Crusaders of Love and a volunteer coordinator and legislative liaison for a group that advocates for abused children. She holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Arizona State University and a theology degree. Her listed priorities include border security and public safety, child welfare, school choice, low taxes, and fiscal accountability. She declined an invitation to the August 2026 Clean Elections LD13 House forum. She finished second in the July 21, 2026 Republican primary and faces Republican Kevin Hartke and Democrats Racquel Armstrong and Jacob Weinberg for two seats in the November 3, 2026 general election.
