Jayme Accalia

Candidate for Arizona State Senate – District 15

Arizona · Legislative District 15

Statement

I'm running because the system isn't working for the people who are working the hardest. Across Arizona, families are doing everything right — working full-time, raising their kids, and contributing to their communities — yet still struggling just to get by. That's not how this is supposed to work. I've lived that reality. I've worked in retail and service jobs, and I know what it means to stretch every dollar and still come up short. My family faces those same challenges today. I believe in personal responsibility, but I also believe the system should work for people who are doing everything right. That means supporting working people, protecting the right to organize, and making sure a full-time job pays enough to live. It means respecting personal freedom, including the right to make your own healthcare decisions, and ensuring everyone is treated with dignity under the law. It also means supporting the Second Amendment while backing common-sense safety measures and access to mental health resources. My focus is on affordability, healthcare, and education — the foundation of a strong middle class. When those systems are working, families can move beyond survival and build a future.
