Jeff Fortney
Candidate for Arizona State Senate – District 3
Arizona · Legislative District 3
Statement
I am running for State Senate in Legislative District 3 for several reasons. Too many families in Legislative District 3 are feeling the economic impact of decisions being made federally and rubber stamped locally. Many are trying to balance working (sometimes multiple jobs), while paying for child care, medicine and other increasing costly expenses. These people are feeling the effects of national economic decisions locally, while local legislators rubber stamp policies that are driving up these costs. Families are effectively being billed an average of $2,300 due to illegal tariffs. Grocery prices continue to climb while local legislators are doing nothing to support working families. They are in fact making it even more difficult for working families to feed and support their children. I will work tirelessly to support working families in Arizona. In addition, I have a long record of protecting, supporting, and respecting vulnerable children while many local legislators bully these same children while supporting and protecting powerful people who are taking advantage of children. Voters are looking for leadership that prioritizes lowering everyday costs and holding decision-makers accountable for policies that hurt American families. I want to be their advocate at the state capitol.
