John Winchester

Candidate for Arizona State House – District 17

Arizona · Legislative District 17

Statement

I'm John Winchester, a lifelong Tucsonan, husband, father, and minister. I've spent my life serving our community, from leading the Northwest YMCA to mentoring students and strengthening local nonprofits. I'm running for the Arizona House because I believe leadership means showing up, listening, and solving problems – not playing politics. Arizona families deserve a government that works as hard as they do. That means responsible spending, strong schools, safe neighborhoods, and a healthy economy that supports small businesses and creates opportunity for the next generation. My experience in business, education, and community development has taught me that prosperity doesn't just happen, it's built, one decision at a time, by leaders who put people before partisanship. I'll fight for good jobs, support small businesses, and invest in infrastructure so families can live, work, and thrive right here in Southern Arizona. My faith and family shape who I am and how I lead. I'll bring common sense, integrity, and accountability to the Arizona House. District 17 is my home, and I'm asking for your support and vote to build a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Arizona.
