Kevin Volk

Candidate for Arizona State House – District 17

Arizona · Legislative District 17

Statement

I'm a small business owner and former teacher, born and raised in Southern Arizona. I ran for office out of frustration with the extreme, divisive politics we see out of Phoenix. Since taking office, I have worked hard to do my part to take down the temperature, work across the aisle, and keep the focus on getting things done. I am proud to be one of the most bipartisan, effective members of the state legislature. My priorities have been and continue to be to address costs of living, improve Arizona schools, support public safety, and secure our water future. I will continue call out current leadership when they are playing politics at the expense of solving problems. I think our legislature looks too much like Congress in DC – voting overnight on 100 bills with short notice, multiple recesses instead of getting the job done, and partisan posturing instead of good-faith negotiation. We can do better. But I'll also continue to work with anyone – regardless of party - to improve our state and make lives better for Arizonans. That's what this job is about. It would be an honor to continue to serve as your State Representative.
