Statement
Having watched our district change from farming to the high-tech hub of the state, it's clear to me our State Senator must represent us and focus on the challenges of today. My priorities are lowering costs, protecting healthcare, education, community safety, and ensuring a sustainable Arizona. Many young families and seniors can no longer afford to live in the East Valley. I will fight to lower our grocery, utility, and childcare costs and am not afraid to take on the political establishment and monopolies to make it happen. I will protect healthcare for families, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities. One major health emergency shouldn't make a hardworking family go broke. Meeting Arizona's students' needs requires fully funding our K-12 schools, colleges, and universities, and offering competitive teacher salaries. In today's classrooms sit tomorrow's leaders and our community's future. I will work to keep our vibrant community safe and thriving! In the desert, water is life. Ensuring Arizona's sustainable future means a long-term water supply we can count on. A sustainable future for Arizona's economy and quality of life means clean water, clean air, and mitigating the effects of excessive heat.
Biography
Kristie grew up in Chandler, the daughter of a social worker and granddaughter of a police officer and volunteer fireman. She learned the value of putting in hard work to make the world a safer place and is instilling that in her twin boys. Kristie has devoted her life to serving others and strengthening the community. After losing family members in the 9/11 attacks, Kristie's commitment to public service deepened. As a lawyer/mediator, Kristie knows the importance of justice and accountable leadership and helps families navigate life's challenges. Now, Kristie is ready to bring those qualifications to the State Capitol.
