Biography
Kyle Clayton was born and raised in Legislative District 27 and is raising his family there, with one child in the Washington Elementary School District. He is a full-time Realtor and has served on the Washington Elementary School District Governing Board since 2023, currently as board president. Through the Shaw Butte Neighborhood Alliance, he says he helped secure more than $250,000 in local investments and plant more than 300 trees. His campaign priorities include balancing funding between elementary and high schools, raising per-pupil funding, full-day kindergarten, reforming ESA vouchers, lowering healthcare, housing, childcare and energy costs, and reviewing state tax incentives. He is endorsed by the Arizona State Building & Construction Trades Council. Clayton ran unopposed in the July 21, 2026 Democratic primary and faces incumbent Republican Sen. Kevin Payne in the November 3, 2026 general election.
