Biography
Lisbeth Arescurenaga was born and raised in Lima, Peru, and immigrated to the United States at 15. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in professional counseling, works as a licensed associate counselor and social worker, and has more than 15 years of community service and advocacy experience, including work with unaccompanied minors and with cancer patients and their families. She is married to a veteran and is a mother. Her stated priorities are expanding mental health access, affordable housing and protections for renters, well-funded public schools, and environmental justice in Maryvale. Endorsements include Sen. Analise Ortiz, Rep. Mariana Sandoval, the Arizona Education Association, Save Our Schools Arizona, the Sierra Club and VoteVets.
