Statement
From January 2017 to December 2020, she served on the Agua Fria Union High School District Governing Board and is an ex officio member of the Arizona Latino School Board Association. In October 2024, she joined the Sleeping Heavenly Peace board. She was elected to the Arizona State House of Representatives for Legislative District 23 in November 2022 and began her term in January 2023. Representative Sandoval sees her work in government as a natural extension of her commitment to public service. Biography
Representative Mariana Sandoval graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary and Paralegal Studies from Los Angeles Mission College and a B.A in Law from the University of Arizona. She has spent more than 20 years in public service. She worked in legal aid offices in California and Arizona and spent 12 years at the Arizona Attorney General's Office. There, she represented the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and the Arizona Game and Fish Department, focusing on prosecuting polluters and protecting wildlife.
