Mary Rose

Candidate for Arizona State House – District 14

Arizona · Legislative District 14

Statement

I am not a politician. I'm a woman who is tired of being angry over the politics in this country and our state. I decided to run for office to try to restore some semblance of normalcy, honesty, and integrity. I want to build an economy that works for everyone. To do that, we need fair wages and affordable housing. We need to support small businesses and local entrepreneurs. We need to create advisory boards and open forums that include younger voters, so your ideas shape the policies that impact your life. Public schools deserve to be funded fairly. Teachers should receive competitive pay. The ESA voucher program needs greater oversight and transparency to prevent fraud and restore public trust. We live in a desert. Water is our most precious resource. There should be enforceable urban water budgets. Protection of our rivers, shared aquifers, and green spaces. ICE has no place in our communities. Honest, hard-working immigrants should be welcomed to become citizens in our country. I will stand beside those fighting for their rights, whether it be marriage equality, the right to choose for their own bodies, or the right to vote in a democratic system. Let's move forward together.
