Oscar De Los Santos

Candidate for Arizona State House – District 11

Arizona · Legislative District 11

Statement

Oscar De Los Santos is delivering results for working families and the middle class in Arizona. Unafraid to challenge the powerful, Oscar is fighting corporate landlords driving up rents, taking on data centers driving up our bills, and cracking down on health insurance corporations that are price gouging us. At the Capitol, Oscar has a reputation for getting things done. He made school breakfast and lunch free for working-class students; delivered a historic initiative to make community college and public university tuition free for thousands of working-class students; created Arizona's first-ever plan to end veterans homelessness; secured millions in financial relief for Arizonans on the brink of eviction; and expanded legal aid so workers can stand up to predatory employers. Oscar believes that, in the wealthiest nation on Earth, no one should go broke just because they get sick. He was a leader in the successful effort to erase $2 billion in medical debt for one million Arizonans, and he helped secure $122 million in lifesaving care for people with developmental disabilities. He is also a leading voice against Donald Trump's cruel ICE agenda.
