Statement
Rick McCartney is a father, husband, small business owner, and community leader who has spent his career standing up for people and expanding opportunity across Arizona. Raised by a single mother who worked as a schoolteacher, Rick learned early the values of hard work, resilience, and giving back to the community. For decades, he has worked to help small businesses grow, expand workforce opportunities, strengthen public schools, and advocate for affordable housing so families can build stability and a future. Rick doesn’t just talk about opportunity. He has spent his career working to create it. Now, he’s running for Congress because he believes Arizona deserves leadership that listens, shows up, and is willing to tackle tough challenges with honesty and determination. Rick believes leadership means action. He is committed to defending the people of Arizona’s First Congressional District and working toward solutions that strengthen communities and improve lives.
