Biography
Steven Sanders is a certified write-in candidate whose name will not be printed on the November 3, 2026 ballot for Arizona's 4th Congressional District. Ballotpedia lists him as a No Labels Party write-in. He did not run in the party's July 21 primary, which Tisha Benoit won. Fox 10 Phoenix reported that neither Sanders nor Benoit appeared on the No Labels Party of Arizona's list of endorsed candidates. Sanders was born in Phoenix and grew up in Sunnyslope, graduating from Sunnyslope High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1986 to 1991 as a UH-1H helicopter crew chief and later attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He went on to work as an FAA-licensed aviation mechanic, including on medevac aircraft, and as a manager. He lives in Tempe. In 2024 he ran for the U.S. Senate as an independent write-in and received 92 votes. His campaign site calls for ending party-driven politics, protecting retirement programs, cutting government waste, increasing transparency in federal spending and rebuilding U.S. manufacturing. The candidates printed on the ballot are Democratic incumbent Greg Stanton, Republican Zuhdi Jasser and No Labels Party nominee Tisha Benoit.
