T.J. Shope

Candidate for Arizona State Senate – District 16

Arizona · Legislative District 16

Statement

This election is critical for Arizona. As your State Senator, I'm fighting for Arizona businesses, creating safe neighborhoods, funding infrastructure improvements, and protecting our shared values. I have sponsored legislation to provide law enforcement with the tools and the funding they need to get the job done, and keep criminals off our streets, including voting for harsher penalties against drug cartels, dealers, and human traffickers. We have created an economic environment that attracts more businesses from other states, encourages existing businesses to expand, and allows entrepreneurs to build something new. We have responsibly invested in our schools while protecting school choice, ensuring parents have the final say in their kids' education. From protecting our water rights to balancing our state budget while investing in the I-10 widening and SR 347, I will keep fighting for you at the State Capitol! I even sponsored transparency measures when our liberal Governor was accused of accepting contributions in exchange for bigger state contracts. I am proud to have earned endorsements from first responders, including police and fire, as well as business groups from around the state because of the commonsense legislation we've passed.
