Biography
Wendy Rogers is the Republican incumbent State Senator for Legislative District 7. A retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel, she served 20 years on active duty as a C-141 and C-21 aircraft commander, a squadron commander and flight instructor at the U.S. Air Force Academy, and led three divisions at U.S. Air Forces Europe headquarters; she was deployed to run the Bosnian airlift and received the Defense Meritorious Service Medal. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees in social work and a master's in national security studies, and has owned an Arizona home inspection business for 23 years. She and her husband Hal have been married 48 years and have two adult children and seven grandchildren. She ran unopposed in the July 21, 2026 Republican primary and faces Democratic nominee Michiel "Mike" Montiel in the November 3, 2026 general election.
