Arizonans need someone in their foxhole. We need someone who will show up and have our back, no matter what. America’s promise is slipping away. We’re less safe. We’re spending more to buy less. Biography
Dr. Zuhdi Jasser is the Republican nominee for Arizona's 4th Congressional District. The son of Syrian immigrants, he earned his M.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin on a Navy scholarship and served as a U.S. Navy officer, retiring as a lieutenant commander and receiving the Meritorious Service Medal for service in the Office of the Attending Physician of the U.S. Congress. He has practiced internal medicine and nuclear cardiology in the Phoenix area for over 25 years, is a former president of the Arizona Medical Association, and served as a U.S. Senate appointee and vice-chair of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom. He founded the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, which advocates separation of religion and state. He ran for the same seat in 2024 but lost the Republican primary to Kelly Cooper. His 2026 campaign, endorsed by Turning Point Action, emphasizes lowering the cost of living, a balanced budget amendment, border security, and health care; at the October 5, 2026 debate he proposed temporarily suspending the federal gas tax. He ran unopposed in the July 21, 2026 Republican primary and faces Democratic incumbent Greg Stanton and No Labels Party nominee Tisha Benoit in the November 3, 2026 general election.
