Biography
Richard "Rick" Spargo has lived in Arizona for four decades and has run his own business for 37 years while raising four children with his wife. A graduate of San Jose State University, he has led national organizations that provide scholarships and youth programs and supports charitable efforts for veterans and dog shelters. He says he is descended from five Revolutionary War patriots. He finished second in the July 21, 2026 Democratic primary with about 44% of the vote and, with fellow Democrat Julie Gable, faces Republicans George Khalaf and Cody Reim and No Labels candidate John Skirbst in the November 3, 2026 general election for the district's two House seats.
