Richard "Rick" Robert Spargo
Candidate for Arizona State House – District 3
Arizona · Legislative District 3
Statement
I stand for Common Sense and Moderation. You won't find any extremism here. Our District and Arizona deserve leadership grounded in practicality, not partisanship. The challenges we face are water scarcity, underfunded public schools and the rising cost of living. I call for cooperation and real solutions that bring people together, not drive us apart. Securing our water future must be a top priority. We must invest in conservation, expand water reuse, and protect our supplies from overuse and speculation. Arizona can grow while preserving sustainability. Strong public education is the foundation of opportunity. I'll work to ensure every classroom has the teachers, resources and support needed to help students thrive. Affordability matters. From housing to energy to healthcare. I will champion for policies that keep Arizona livable for working families, small business owners and seniors alike. I'm running to restore moderation and respect to our politics, focusing on results over ideology, collaboration over conflict, and responsibility over division. Together, we can build a balanced, forward-looking future rooted in common sense.
Biography
As our nation marks its 250th anniversary, I take pride in deep American roots. I am descended from five Revolutionary War patriots who fought for independence. For 37 years, I have run a successful business while raising four children with my wife here in Arizona, where I've lived for four decades. A graduate of San Jose State University, I have led national organizations that provide scholarships and youth programs, continuing a lifelong commitment to service and leadership. I also support chartable efforts for veterans and dog shelters, carrying forward a family legacy of patriotism, integrity, and community involvement.
